Web Development Series and Tools for Teaching Workshops
The eLearning Programs and Support Center (eLPS) is offering one-hour, hands-on workshops that provide basic instruction of how to work with programs, such as Flash 8, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and MERLOT, to improve the appearance of your web content. Also available are workshops on several eLearning programs, including plagiarism prevention, building online quizzes, working and enhancing Microsoft files, working with video, and data analysis with SPSS. (Open to CSULA faculty.)

The Art of Chess: The Munitz Chess Collection
The exhibit features selections from the 52 fine chess sets and more than 350 volumes of chess literature donated by Cal State L.A. Trustee Professor and former CSU Chancellor Barry Munitz to the University Library Special Collections.

Invisible Bodies: Conspicuous Mind
How does a citizen suddenly become a physical non-entity? Invisible Bodies: Conspicuous Mind is an exhibit of contemporary Romanian art that visually confronts the issues of personal identity in everyday life. The exhibit is not only a window into a unique post-communist bloc country but inadvertently produces a subtle, potent dialogue about life today in the U.S.

EPIC’s Annual Toy and Food Drive
EPIC’s drive focuses on providing food and toys to low-income families during the holiday season. This initiative gives students, clubs, organizations, and all members of the campus community the opportunity to make a positive contribution in the greater Los Angeles area. In addition to collecting monetary donations, non-perishable goods, and new or used toys (in good condition), EPIC also conducts a prize drawing. All proceeds from the prize drawing ticket sales will go towards the purchasing of necessary toys and food for the recipient families.
