Itzhak Perlman Making his debut performance of the year, the majestic violinist Itzhak Perlman graces the Luckman Theatre’s stage for an intimate evening of classics that will undoubtedly be a prodigious performance as only Mr. Perlman is known for. LJO: Tribute to Thelonious Monk The Luckman Jazz Orchestra continues their season-long tribute to great jazz masters with a musical salute to Mr. Thelonius Monk. Under the direction of Charles Owens, the LJO’s all-star line up is certain to invoke the fluidity and precision that Monk all but invented. Prior to the performance, beginning at 12 noon, a day-long festival of jazz clinics and workshops that culminate in a juried performance will take place at various locations at and around the Complex.

He enjoyed the vast majority of his works becoming instant sensations in the jazz world, and also across boundaries within pop music. The Luckman Jazz Orchestra rekindles the buzzing flame that Ellington ignited with a program of his biggest hits, and a few less known treasures.
